Jersey Day ~ Thursday, April 12th

Apr 11

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Canadians and beyond are grieving the tragic accident that took the lives of 16 Humboldt Broncos Hockey players and personnel, in Saskatchewan on April 6th.  Our District is deeply saddened by this horrible accident, and our thoughts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.  As you may have heard through the media, there is an initiative being organized by a group of B.C. mothers to support the families and friends of the Humboldt Broncos by wearing a hockey jersey on Thursday, April 12th.

Hockey is an important part of Delta’s community and culture.  We are encouraging staff and students to wear their hockey jerseys, the team colours of green and gold, or other sports jerseys on April 12th to show support for those who have lost loved ones, family members, friends, and teammates.

If you are visiting our school, you will see that we have also left a few hockey sticks near the front door …
